Gabriella never expected her vacation to the Bahama's to be like this. Everything on the plane was going fine. She had been able to relax on the plane and read her favorite book. She had watched movies on her iPad and she remembered she had to call her mom when she landed in the Bahama's to let her know that she made it safely. But that all went down hill when the plan crashed. She managed to get out of the plane and she just followed the group of survivors. She had no one here with her. And to top it all off, her phone was missing as well as her book. Gabriella didn't want to just sit around and do absolutely nothing. Gabriella decided to split off from the group and go exploring. After all she loved an adventure.
Gabriella began to walk away from the group. She walked through the trees and came to a cave type thing. She ducked through the entrance of the cave. The cave looked pretty sturdy and looked big enough to hold all the survivors. She was sure that it would provide shelter from the rain, if this island got any rain. She had no idea where they were. Gabriella let her fingers trail along the cave walls. She missed her mom and her dad. She was scared. She didn't know how long they were going to be on the island or if anyone knew where they were or that they had crashed. There was a nice couple who she thought could be a good father and mother figure to her while she was here but she was afraid to speak up right now. She didn't know what anyone was thinking or if they would be welcoming to her.

It had only been four hours since the crash and Lawson felt like he was in another world. It didn't feel like reality and he was going on automatic right now. He wasn't sure of the time zone here, but the first officer had said he believed they were somewhere halfway between Florida and the Bahamas. If that was correct -he doubted it wasn't- then it would be two more hours until sunset. The heat was tropical, meaning humidity. But the shade of the jungle was helping tremendously. The teams had been established and the group was settling down. Ellen was on the SOS Team so she was working with the rest of the team to build some kind of emergency signal. Walking with the shelter team in the jungle was odd. Everyone was tense and still unsure of what to do or where to go, but they all knew that shelter was needed in case storms came. For now Melody had said they'd stay on the beach in case rescue came, and Lawson thought that was a good idea. As he walked, he happened to look to his left and see someone in a cave. Oh! There was shelter! He entered the cave. "Are you okay?" He asked.

Gabriella was feeling her way through the cave. She really wished she had her phone on her so she had some form of light in front of her. Gabriella was part of the SOS Team but she wanted to explore a little bit and see what the island had in store for them. Gabriella felt her foot get caught on something and she felt her ankle twist. She let out a scream as she felt herself fall to the ground. Gabriella felt her ankle and she felt it was tender. She managed to get herself standing up and she tried to walk but it hurt too much. She heard someone talk to her and she looked up. "I hurt my ankle," Gabriella said softly. "It really hurts."

Lawson went to catch the falling girl but she'd already fallen. But he did go to her aid and helped her sit against the cave wall. "Let me see," he said, looking at her ankle. "It's swollen. Let me help you back to the medical team." He held out his arm for her and helped her walk back to the beach. As they walked, Lawson decided to introduce himself. "I'm Lawson Andrews. I'm on the shelter team. What's your name?" He gave her a friendly smile.

Gabriella watched him help her sit against the wall of the cave. She looked up at the man and he reminded her of her father. She felt him take her ankle in his hand and she winced. It was sensitive. She heard what he said and she took his arm and she hobbled towards the beach. She heard what he said and she smiled at him. "I'm Gabriella Stuart, 18 years old. I'm on the SOS team," She whispered. "All I wanted to do was go to the Bahamas before I started college. Just to have fun. Now I'm trapped on this island, alone with no parents, friends, and scared."

Lawson noticed the girl wince when he examined her ankle and he frowned slightly; that was never good. As they walked toward the beach, Lawson listened to the girl introduce herself. "My wife is on the SOS team. Nice to meet you, Gabriella. That's a beautiful name." His smile faded as the girl told her story. He nodded sadly and gave Gabriella's shoulder a reassuring squeeze. "My wife and I were supposed to be on our honeymoon…" The honeymoon he'd waited how many years for? He'd lost count at the moment. "Well, let me or my wife know if anyone gives you any trouble, alright? I'm sure there are more trustworthy people around, but for now you have me and Ellen- that's my wife." It felt so good to call Ellen his wife.
